CAMPAIGN PERIOD: 19-25 JUN 2022
In 1995 Veelappan was involved in a motorcycle accident and severely injured his spine, leaving him bedridden. His wife Danapakiam has been taking care of him daily since the accident. Veelappan has other underlying medical issues on top of needing regular wound dressing and medication costing RM500 monthly.
Their only son Rajoo who got married last year, solely provides for all four of them and it is becoming an increasing strain on him to do so continually. The family has been receiving assistance from charitable organisations but recently this aid has stopped.
Veelappan received a total of RM13,088 during the campaign.
