Suganya’s Story

CAMPAIGN PERIOD: 29 NOV – 5 DEC 2021

Suganya and her husband, Kesavan live with their four young children ages 9, 8, 5 & 4 and her mother-in-law in a PPR flat at Pandan Indah. Having to care for her children and mother-in-law, Suganya is unable to seek employment to supplement their household income. Her husband who works at a scrap yard earning RM900 is the sole breadwinner. He used to be a truck driver before but due to a motorcycle accident 4 years ago which badly affected his hand making it difficult to find a job that will pay more.

With a monthly flat rental of RM700 per month, they struggle to make ends meet and have been depending on the generosity of their neighbours. Their school-going children have stopped attending school as they cannot afford to buy books or any necessities.

Through the generosity of donors during the campaign, a total of RM9,587 was raised for this family.
