CAMPAIGN PERIOD: 5-11 JUNE 2021
Subramaniam (Subra) was an Assistant Engineer at a construction project but lost his job at the start of MCO 1.0. The pandemic has not helped Subra to get a job. He and his wife live with their three daughters aged 14, 11 and 1 year old in Sentul, Kuala Lumpur.
The family has pawned his jewellery to pay for their commitments but with the prolonged restrictions, he finds it really difficult to make ends meet. Banks have threatened to sue to recover monies owed.
In spite of his current situation, Subra finds time to help others by distributing groceries he receives from charitable organisations to the homeless and needy and lives on whatever that’s left.

Subra is just an amazing person, despite his situation before the campaign, he still found the time and money to give to those who were in need.
