Su Team’s Story

CAMPAIGN PERIOD: 10-16 JUN 2022

Our Johor team has highlighted Heng Su Team’s case that was referred to them by the school where her daughter studies.  Heng’s husband is currently jailed for domestic violence and unfortunately, she must care for her very young children and is unable to work. The oldest is attending Standard One while the five, four and two-year-olds are with Heng.

Not being able to pay for the rent, Heng had to vacate her rented house and is living at a house owned jointly by her mother and sister. The relationship between them has been quite strained as Heng constantly seeks their financial help.

The combined contributions from NGOs and the government is insufficient to cover Heng’s basic needs.  Moreover, the fate of her two children who would need to attend pre-school soon is hanging in the balance.

Su Team received a total of RM40,751 from the campaign.
