Siton’s Story

CAMPAIGN PERIOD: 29 APR – 6 MAY 2022

Siton Bin Lunggoi is a 58-year-old paddy farmer from Tamparuli, Sabah. There are nine persons in his household who depends on his meagre RM800 monthly income.  His eldest daughter works and lives in a nearby town as a sales assistant.

Early July 2021, Siton’s house was razed by fire, destroying everything. A police report was made to enable the reissue of important documents. Faulty wiring could have started the fire.

At this moment, all eight of them are living with Siton’s brother and both families are under great strain.  Unfortunately, the brother will be moving to another kampung in June 2022 and that would render Siton and his family homeless.

The estimated cost to rebuild their house is around RM80,000, far beyond Siton’s reach. The generous GIFT10 donors have helped this family lessen the burden of rebuilding their home and help get their life back on track.

Siton received a total of RM21,217 through the generous GIFT10 donors during the campaign.
