Rosmawawi’s Story

CAMPAIGN PERIOD: 23-29 OCT 2021

Mohd Rosmawawi lives in Ulu Langat and works as a freelance delivery runner. He lives with his pregnant wife, three-year-old son and with his 61-year-old mother-in-law. A hospital has diagnosed Rosmawawi with several psychiatric conditions and that require constant specialist care and medications. His son is on the autistic spectrum.

The medical challenges prevent Rosmawawi from holding a permanent, long-term job and his wife Julisa sells Nasi Campur to supplement their income but with her delivery date approaching, she will need to stop soon. Their rent is in arrears for three months, the unpaid TNB bills are almost RM1,800 on top of the car payments that is already two months due. Their combined incomes and occasional help from friends are insufficient to support the family. They have pawned all jewellery just to survive and the future is looking bleak.

Rosmawawi is so grateful for the RM11.088 he received from hundreds of generous donors through the GIFT10 campaign. This will help support his family and help them get through this difficult time and ensure they have something for the baby on the way.
