Robortline’s Story

CAMPAIGN PERIOD: 28 JAN – 4th FEB 2022

Robortline bin Maloi who is married to an Indonesian national Karolina has three children who are 12, 9 and 20 months old. Robortline used to work in Singapore before COVID but had been transferred to the Johor factory since the causeway closure.

Karolina was diagnosed with liver cancer while pregnant with the third child and had begun her treatments in mid-2020. She is not entitled to the subsidised medical treatments like Malaysians and the chemotherapy medication costs RM8,200 monthly. The family has thus far spent over RM20,000 in treatments while some kind-hearted people have been helping them with the medical costs. Robotline’s salary covers the basic needs of the family but is insufficient for the continuous medical care.

Their hope is that through GIFT10, they may continue Karolina’s long-term treatments and help ease the bulk of the medical cost.

Through the generosity of donors, Robortline received a total of RM17,443 throughout the campaign.
