Robin’s Story

CAMPAIGN PERIOD: 9-15 FEB 2022

Robin and his wife Lay Heong who are in their late fifties have two children but had lost a son in his teens due to muscular dystrophy. Their eldest son Sheldon, 26 years old, had been diagnosed as being in the autistic spectrum. Lay Heong is recovering from chronic Lupus after undergoing several chemotherapies. Robin had recently had his leg amputated due to his diabetic condition. Robin is a struggling real estate agent and Lay Heong is a homemaker who dedicates her time to care for their autistic son, Sheldon.

Due to Robin and Lay Heong’s age and medical conditions, they are unable to generate sufficient income to meet monthly expenses. A large portion of their savings including KWSP has been expended on medical treatments and living costs over the past few years.

Robin life has been greatly impacted by the RM31,550 in donations received throughout the campaign.
