CAMPAIGN PERIOD: 10-17 JULY 2021
Yap Lee Huang is our first recipient from Johor. Her kindergarten going son and mother, who is undergoing dialysis treatment, live with her. Lee Huang’s elder son provides some cash monthly and she relies on a very small income and donations to survive and pay for medical treatments.
Currently, two charitable associations assist in the dialysis cost but this aid comes with a limited time and Lee Huang has sought extensions for all of them. Unfortunately, one association declined to extend.
This single mother has been trying to sell things online to provide for her family but lacks the capital to generate a stable income. Her monthly expenses covering transportation, bills, rent, medical treatments, schooling for her son and food is simply too much for her to bear.
A total of RM18,851 was raised during this campaign from 151 generous donors.
