CAMPAIGN PERIOD: 4-11 SEP 2021
Juliana and Raghu are unemployed, and they have a daughter, Martha who’s 13. The three live with Raghu’s mother, Catherine at a PPR flat in Taman Wahyu. Unfortunately, due to a relational circumstance, they have to vacate the flat in October.
Raghu used to work with LalaMove but due to his recurring hernia problem, he could not continue. The job occasionally required Raghu to carry heavy items. He is scheduled for another operation in October. Juliana is suffering from a sinus problem but has postponed her surgery.
Raghu had taken an RM20,000 personal loan from RHB, paying RM750 monthly. The bank had restructured his loan that halved the instalments, but he will end up paying RM40,000.
Without any income, the family is taking each day as it comes and relies on the goodwill of charitable organisations and compassionate neighbours.
The ongoing pandemic and medical conditions have not been easy for Juliana and Raghu to find work and support Martha in her studies.
Juliana received a total of RM16,188 in donations from this campaign.
