Magasvari’s Story

CAMPAIGN PERIOD: 1-7 AUG 2021

Magasvari and her husband Anthony began a snack business in 2021 but were unable to sustain themselves due to their limited network and contact. They have exhausted all their savings. Anthony lost his job because his employer suffered a drastic drop in business. He had resorted to a commission-based job earning him about RM1,000 monthly.

Their daughter Remathy is in her 2nd year of studies, and it was financed with the PTPTN loan, and the family receives RM1,200 yearly from the government. They had no choice but to halt all their loan repayments eight months ago to make ends meet. Despite the financial hardship, Remathy does rather well in her studies and is persevering.

GIFT10 givers, let’s show this family that we care. We can all agree that no one should be left out during this trying time. Give what you can and share this with everyone you know.
