Lambou & Juana’s Story

CAMPAIGN PERIOD: 28 MAY – 3 JUN 2022

Five years ago, Lambou Koting retired from full-time farming at the age of 78. With him are his 77-year-old wife Goko and daughter Juana who’s 51. Only Juana is caring for Lambou and Goko among the five children. Lambou is partially mobile and Goko, who suffered a stroke late 2021, can only consume a specialised milk formulation as her body is unable to digest solid food.

The three is dependent on the contributions from the rest of the family who have been remitting funds but not consistently.  Each month the family must adjust their expenses accordingly.  At the onset of Goko’s condition, they need to spend more on the milk formulation and purchase medications not provided by the hospital.  These necessities do cost more than what the family can afford now.

We at GIFT10 are thankful for the generous donors during this campaign, from which Lambou received RM7,752.
